Sinclair to City!..Really?

Scott Sinclair is closing in on a deal to join Manchester City this summer, in a move that has taken me by massive surprise. Sinclair started his career at Bristol Rovers, but quickly got snapped up by Chelsea as a young player with huge talent. He spent 5 years at Chelsea in which he played 5 games and went on loan to 6 different clubs within the 5 years, while at the 6 clubs he didn’t really live up to the potential that rested on his young shoulders. Brendan Rogers took a chance on Sinclair and signed him on a permanent deal for Swansea City, a move that gave Sinclair the much needed game time he required. He was one of the stand out players for Swansea in there Championship winning side and over achieving Premiership side of last year, but is he a player of Manchester City quality?
At 5.5 million raising to a potential 8 million its a good deal for Manchester City, fills in a gap in the squad, can play in a numerous of positions and has the potential to be a good player. Where it might be a good move for Man City I don’t think its such a good move for Sinclair. He’s found a team were he’s a key player in that team, he’s getting regular football and the full 90 minutes of most games. Was he to leave Swansea to Man City he will find himself sitting on the bench most games coming on for the last 10 to 15 minutes of games, as he is not good enough to be getting in the team otherwise ahead of David Silva or Samir Nasri. If Sinclair is the player he could be he would be best like a lot of young players would be and sticking with the club they are at and improving your game there, and if the player backs his own potential and ability then there is no doubt that the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United will still be wanting to sign you in a year or 2 years time, when you can guarantee yourself more establish role in that team. Perhaps he should talk to Adam Johnson before he moves…
