So tonight Lille president Michel Seydoux has told Newcastle to forget about signing Mathieu Debuchy after a second bid for the player was rejected. Is that the deal over with, do NUFC move on, do they try with a new offer, does Debuchy hand in a transfer request.....with all these options who knows. I believe Debuchy is the man NUFC want, and will be willing to wait as long as it takes to get him, in the same circumstances they waited for Papiss Cisse. NUFC don’t really need to worry as Danny Simpson is a good right back, he lacks a final ball, but he shows heart and that makes up for a lot in football. Newcastle would rather have there players in by now, like they did last season as it gives time to gel, but with this season the transfer policy is about fine tuning and not major overhaul so that may not be as big a issues, but with 29 days to go until the transfer window slams shut, I believe this deal isn’t dead, and one day Mathieu Debuchy will become a NUFC player.
